Key Takeaways
  • Keeta’s anchor feature allows the network to be connected to any external system, increasing the utility of the network for users and participants.
  • Domestic payment rails are connected to Keeta to improve the reach of fiat currency transactions.
  • Any digital asset network can be connected to Keeta for seamless interoperability between assets.

Keeta is designed for real-world payments, far beyond just being a native cryptocurrency. Central to this vision is the network’s compatibility with existing systems. Keeta’s anchor feature allows participants to connect to any external system, enabling seamless integration into a wide range of use cases.

Seamless Integration with External Systems

The anchor feature in Keeta acts as a bridge between the network and external systems. Participants can create anchors that connect Keeta to these systems, consequently increasing the utility of the network. The participants responsible for the anchors will be required to comply with Keeta and the external system’s regulations but can charge a fee for the use of their anchor.

Once an anchor is created, it is made available to the entire network, supporting various use cases as validated by both the anchor’s owner and the connected external system.

Transforming International Money Transfers

A key application of Keeta’s anchor feature is international money transfers. Typically, these transfers involve several intermediaries, leading to delays and high fees. While Keeta already provides sub-second transfers between network participants, anchors provide participants the ability to send transfers to non-participants. With Keeta’s anchors, direct connections to external payment systems simplify settlement to nearly any account around the world.

Many countries have established domestic payment systems, providing local, single currency, money transfers within their country in a timely manner. Some of these domestic payment systems provide instant settlement. For example, Brazil has established PIX, which delivers payments from a BRL account to another BRL account instantly on a 24/7 basis.

A network participant in the United States can send money to a non-participant in Brazil using an anchor to link to PIX. Even if the recipient’s bank is not on the Keeta network, the anchor can facilitate the transfer from the anchor operator’s account to the recipient’s account or wallet. This model can be applied worldwide, ensuring quick, secure, and low-cost transfers.

Bridging Digital Currency Networks

Keeta’s anchors extend beyond traditional financial systems, linking to digital currency networks as well. An anchor can connect Keeta to a digital currency network, allowing for the transfer of digital assets between systems. When a digital currency is moved to Keeta, it is tokenized natively. When sent back, the tokenized version is destroyed, and the original asset is restored. This benefits users greatly because they can take advantage of Keeta’s performance metrics for the transfer of digital currencies that would otherwise have much worse performance on their native systems. For example, tokenized Bitcoin can be sent with the speed and cost of Keeta’s network instead of Bitcoin’s slow and expensive network, while still maintaining the same value.

This interoperability isn’t limited to digital currencies; it applies to any asset. Keeta intends to be utilized for a plethora of use cases.

Leading a New Era of Interoperability

Keeta’s anchor feature is introducing a new era of interoperability and global connectivity. By enabling seamless integration with a variety of external systems, Keeta is revolutionizing industries and fostering a more interconnected global economy. Whether improving international money transfers, connecting payment systems, or integrating digital currency networks, Keeta’s anchors are creating a more efficient and cohesive global financial ecosystem.
